In addition to our wonderfully diverse menus, Tavern on Main Wakefield and East Greenwich offers brunch all day, every day, and late night food is served every night of the week. 

On weekends, Tavern on Main East Greenwich opens their doors a bit earlier to accommodate the breakfast crowd.

IN 2018, Chef/Owner Christian D'Agostino returned to the very kitchen where he began his career. In 1986, at the age of 14, Christian got into the restaurant industry as a dishwasher at 195 Main St. when it was still the Italian Village Restaurant and owned by his mentor, Antonio Mollo. 

Christian realized that the restaurant business was where he belonged and quickly was promoted through the ranks to Executive Chef, all the while gaining a degree through the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Christian went on to gain valuable experience as an executive chef on multiple cruise ships, then delved into the restaurant scene in Fargo, ND. Five years later, Christian found himself part owner in 4 restaurants and a catering company. At that point an opportunity presented itself in Wakefield, RI. His career had come full circle, both geographically and professionally, when Christian decided to come back home and start up a restaurant all his own, Tavern on Main Wakefield

As a homage to his mentor, some of Antonio’s original recipes can be found on the menu in addition to an assortment of handmade sausages inspired by Christian’s brother, Kyle and his company D’Agostino Sausage Empire in Birmingham, Alabama. 

In early June 2019, Tavern on Main East Greenwich will open its doors. Building off the success of the flagship location in Wakefield and Christian’s focus on core classic comfort food with a artisanal twist, Tavern on Main EG will elevate the rich Rhode Island coastal tradition with an innovative menu featuring the freshest local ingredients and a warm, welcoming interior. We will be opening at 9 am on weekends for brunch, and will feature an extensive Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar.
